Ross Lovegrove

Nato nel 1958 a Cardiff (Galles), Ross Lovegrove si laurea in Industrial Design al Politecnico di Manchester. Successivamente consegue il Master di Design al Royal College of Art di Londra. Negli anni Ottanta, Ross Lovegrove collabora a progetti come il Walkman Sony e i computer Apple, e progetta l’Alessandri Office System per Knoll. Negli anni successivi entra a far parte dell’Atelier de Nîmes con Jean Nouvel e Phillipe Stark, dove svolge incarichi di consulente per Cacharel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes e DuPont.

Vincitori di numerosi riconoscimenti internazionali, i suoi lavori vengono esposti in prestigiosi musei quali il MOMA e il Guggenheim Museum di New York, l’Axis Centre Japan, il Pompidou Centre di Parigi e il Design Museum di Londra dove alcune dell sue opere fanno parte delle collezioni permanenti.

Born in 1958 in Cardiff (Wales), Ross Lovegrove graduated in Industrial Design at Manchester Polytechnic. He then attended the Master of Design at the Royal College of Art in London. In the ‘80s he collaborates at projects such as the Sonye Walkman and Apple computers, and designs the Alexandria Office System for Knoll. In the following years he joins the Atelier de Nîmes along with Jean Nouvel and Phillipe Stark, consulting to amongst others Cacharel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes and DuPont.

Winners of many international awards, his works are exhibited at prestigious museums such as MOMA and Guggenheim Museum in New York, Axis Center Japan, Pompidou Center in Paris and the Design Museum in London where some of his works are part of Permanent collections.
